FortiGate

The FortiGate connector path is intended for firewall visibility through controlled API access.

Preparation

• Create a dedicated read-oriented account or API profile where possible.
• Limit access to the objects, policies, routes, interfaces, and metadata required for visibility.
• Confirm the Desktop host can reach the FortiGate management interface.
• Record firmware version and management API constraints.

Validation

After configuration, confirm that Desktop can connect, authenticate, and read the expected scope without changing firewall policy.
